Old School Dimepiece #2

this is from left field. I meant to reserve this segment for the sistas but i was so awestruck that i had to say somehting. The Janice Dickinson we see on TV descended from this. The crazed, silicon injected, multiple surgeried, angst ridden sometime judge on America's Top Model. Yeah, her. She has devolved from the picture above to the wonder of life that at times contaminates our TV screens. Wow that devolution, like us becoming apes.
damn, shameful!!!!

Old School Dimepiece

.............like the girl in the Jamaica poster. WOW!!!! Somebody's mama was a dimepiece. Doesn't a trip to Negril sound good to you. The Jamaican tourist board new what they were doing. If Charlotte had a poster like that every weekend would look like CIAA. Ooooooohhwwwwweeeeee!!!!
But the sad part is......she is now someone's mother, auntie, posibly known for her mean potato salad or bangin banana pudding on fellowship Sundays. She was a looker in her time. I salute you.

The Wire Finale
Wow!!!!! Herk was a backside snitch. Mike is studying the Omar handbook, just hope he tears out the gay chapters. Valcheck is new commishoner. Bubs, reconciled with his fam. Cheese got capped, deservingly so. Prezbo hardened up and rocks the Uni-bomber beard. Dookie is testing blue caps. Wee-Bay and Chris are holding it down at Jessup. Daniels looks like a mope of a public defender after getting extorted by sexy ass Nariece(ooooohhhhweeeeeeee!!!). She turns me on in a perverse way. All that brown skin conniving under those unassuming business suits. wow!!! Norman was true to himself, always sarcastic at Carcetti's expense even at the worst of times. Lester Freeman turned a Orlando's finest into a stepford wife, keeping all that freak hidden under middle age PTA chairwoman's clothes. Gus is riding the clock till retirement. i guess the corporate game is like the hustle, it keeps going. Templeton's lying ass got the award. Carcetti is governor. Rawls, aka Dirt Drawls (its just a rhyme) got the state police gig. Kima is still on the grind, concious clear. And last but not least Bunk is still wearing nice suits and contiminating Baltimore crime scenes with his cheap Hav-A-Tampa cigars. Step it up to Cohibas. He has come a long way since Michael from Waiting to Exhale.
I am so sad to see it go. what will i do with my sundays?

The Lost Art of Stripping

I got to do it. I went to my first strip club in 2000, two nights after turning 21. In the last 7 seven years I have been to strip clubs along the eastern seabord as well as mexico. i have been privy to private parties. In total i have seem my fair share of smut. i can judge a stripper within a song and the entire club in 20 mins. From the Fancy Cat (rip) to Salon Matehuala in Monterrey, Mexico to the corner joint in Philly. Needless to say that maybe its Charlotte or the genre in general, which I seriously doubt, its going to shit, very fast.
Back in the day, it was a different game. It was full contact stripping. You needed a waiver of liability. Your local enthusiastic dancer named Fantasy, Dream, Seduction, or one of the thousands of lovely fruit or spice flavors was seriously on the grind. She would jump on you, climb you, scratch you, bite you etc, for two songs you were guaranteed intense dry humping and groping was expecting, meaning she would grope you. Contact was permitted as determined by the curvy customer servant. the options were endless.
now its a new ballgame. sure the facilities are better. hell, sometimes the quantity and quality of women is better. unfortunatley the services have taken a dive. a lap dance now equals me, sitting down waiting for her to get in my lap. it should be a called a wish dance and she can wish that i pay her. what you really get is a perimeter of 18", a little eye contact, and maybe one 15 second grind. Damn, I'm much better off going to Crush. i could at least get some rubs at the club. Piss poor at best.....
before i forget, there is a new phenomena indoor percipitation that further compounds things. yeah, making it rain. wow!!!! its purely a show-off move for the dude. it has nothing to do with the chick. its not an invite. they dont even make sure the chick gets the loot. its just flashing non-legal tender to the other d-boys in attendence. i have seen the laziest, uncoordinated stripper get hundreds of dollars thrown her way just because some choice dope boy music came through the speaker. once Jeezy in particular plays, the dollars come out. so baby, dont get to high on yourself. and fellas, you got the game all messed up.

Jay Electronica.......................a glimmer of light in the darkness
as you read this you will have one of two reactions, i am really late or light years ahead of you. this is the elusive jay electronica an enigmatic rapper from new orleans. cancelled myspace account, no website, just an internet phantom, catching up to him is almost as good as the music. ninety second flows, no chorus,no hook, beats from movie themes. he ripped it over the score from "the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. a loop nothing else, no drums. Amazing!!!
last year i saw his name and face appearing on myspace but i slept. bad move. a few months ago i ran into him through a giles petersen podcast. words cannot express. he is restoring my love and hope in hip-hop.
he is the reason i cling on to my official backpack status..................
my life changed when i heard the first song. listen and dont look back.
and take this for good measure
if you don't get it, i might have to reconsider or renounce our friendship. seriously.
ok, that was a little harsh, i dont want to banish the few friends i do have. and i wouldnt want to banish any readers. sometimes i think only ?myk is my only loyal reader.

RIP Omar Little - the death of a legend

I am sad like Omar was a real person, not just a character. This is the last season of the only TV show that matters. I got satellite just to watch the The Wire. And one of the primary reasons is Omar Little. Excuse me while I fight back tears.........
If you didnt know, he was the most captivating character I have ever seen. Since the first season's memorable scene, when he walked up the alley wearing a trench coat, bulletproof vest, brandishing a sawed off shotgun. Very imposing right, but this clown whistled, "The Farmer in the Dell," while all the dope boys fled at the mere sight of him. I remember looking over to my Mom, awestruck. It happened many times thereafter, from the gay lovers, the quotables to the daring robberies. Even last week he terrorized Stanfield's crew, hobbling on a makeshift crutch.
As a viewer, I have been amazed that he lasted this long. He was the predator of predators, and he was struck down by a pygmy hopper, while getting some "Nou - Po'ts" his cigarette of choice. I expected a vicious gun battle. I guess he said it best,"Its all in the game."
Omar was thug even as a shorty
RIP Omar, you will be missed.

I bet you expected something Valentine's related
This has nothing to with Valentine's of course. Would you expect anything less from me? This is just the funniest shit I have seen in a while. He looked like Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon, needless to say, I wasn't ready.
Now the obligatory, Happy Valentine's Day to some, happy day before payday to others. well its only appropriate i give you a gift on this day. we have a sort of relationship, i write you read, i guess thats kind of a relationship. i guess i owe you something so you stay around. so there was a good one for ya. i hope this isnt all you get on this day. one, o2

The Lost Art of DJing

The foundation of our ever-pervasive hip-hop culture is eroding as we speak. By and large breaking and grafitti are fossils of the past. Soon we will have hip-hop archealogists will unearth historical documents like "Planet Rock" to serve as evidence.
Djing is a lost art, similiar to the mid-range jump shot in the NBA. Don't be fooled there are many imitators out there. Even worse, they can be found at a club, bar or lounge near you. Even more absurd they are getting paid to irrate you, to tease the part of you that has waited all week to party to be grossly dissappointed. You see their names on fliers, names mentioned on the radio leading you to believe they are professional, sufficient or qualified. A large collection and some equipment isn't enough. Last nights music selection's almost reached an all-time low. He should be ashamed.
Warning: if you are playing, Mary J. Blige - Just Fine,Webbie's I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T, Duffle Bag Boy, Alicia Keys - No Way, and the ulimate slap the DJ in the face number Upgrade You by Beyonce, duck for flying objects. Ashtrays, chairs, glasses, bottle openers, table decorations, mushy tomatoes (thats for you ?myk) etc. will be thrown at you. I hope you have a good insurance plan. Angry and disgruntled I will make you pay in blood. Well known DJs are not exempt. I mean are not exempt. Some of you are slack, living of your early '90s fame(insert name here). I'm paying 2008 money for you to spin records with no passion or energy. Even worse to play 45 second snippets of your entire record collection.
Don't get me started on the Serato. For those who don't know a Serato, is a trickery device. Now DJs dont even have to carry their horrible collections in crates, its all on the computer. In the past one might have to think twice before loading another crate of Bullshit on vinyl like the Mississippi Cha-Cha slide behind your obligatory Biggie-Junior Mafia set,(ps. i have no problem with the set its just been over used, lets do something new and provocative) and the most horrid of all Fat Man Scoop's "Engine, Engine Number 9."
I search and I see few glimpses of hope and them I do support. But to the rest, I hope I stepped on your toes, be prepared for more.
Some of these fools can't even read the crowd, you know when the crowd is always either fleeing or running to the floor for a song, not even a set of songs.
This is the first edition of many to follow, be on the lookout for "The Lost Art of Stripping," coming soon to a computer screen near you.

Educated women this is for you

Tired of catching the bouquet? Do you think time is running out? Are you prime years wasted on the couch watching network TV alone? Well, I got something for you.
I have engaged with many discussions about this topic over the last few months. I feel i must now put it in print to share with the public at large. so let me begin....
Women are women, men are men. thats a simple statement right. you are talented, educated, sophisticated, and successful. unfortunately this combo does not make finding a mate any easier. i have heard that men are intimidated by you. yeah some lame might be intimidated by his own professional shortcomings and be intimidated. you don't need him anyway so he doesnt count. he is obviously unsuitable. Personally, i think thats a crutch used to prop up your own self-esteem. seriously, men desire certain qualities from our women and a sucessful career is not necessarily at the top of the list. we need attentiveness, accessibility, warmth, concern, freakiness, etc. its not that we dont value your success but it is a quality amongst others. not above but amongst. therefore if the other qualities are not in line we will look elsewhere. furthermore, i'm not your bitch cause you make more money. women may stand for that, taking a constant dose of act right cause he has money. that doesnt go as smoothly for a man especially one with pride. one day like a caged monkey he will respond in the worst way to our overbearing ways, unless he has already turned over his balls to you. then you wont respect him for yet another reason. sometimes we cant win for losing. needless to say, women dont be discouraged just re-evalute yourselves. talk to older women with successful relationships and take some of their experiences for yourself. i said successful. then mix and match the two to make a fruitful enviroment for a good relationship. yes, you can have the world on your own, but you have to give in some ways to have someone to share it with. if that doesnt work, i am a stud for hire. i can email that personal resume to you. hit me up later.

God Bless Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson..........
On a serious note, I stumbled across this and was immediately offended. From the time he scaled the pole like a tribesmen in Papau New Guinea, to the premise that their product looks like shit, and he was a big turd lying on the 'toothbrush bed", to the title, etc. But thats a diatribe for another day, maybe even another blog. I usually dont get caught up in the hooplah of Sharpton or Jackson, but at least they can cause a media circus. The media circus makes people think twice and even lose their jobs sometimes. For maybe no other reason, the bad press keeps garbage like this from being on American TV screens, mostly. At the minimum one has to find new and ingenious ways to denigrate black people in the media, or let us do it ourselves (You've seen Master P's masterpiece "I got the Hook-up and many others too numerous to name).
